PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the self discharge rate by increasing the particle size of a positive active material in a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery. SOLUTION: In the nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery having a positive electrode using an inorganic compound as a positive active material, a negative electrode, and a nonaqueous electrolyte, as the positive active material, a material prepared by baking granular granulated material of a row material powder comprising an inorganic compound is used. As the negative electrode, the use of a carbon material capable of doping and undoping lithium is preferable. A binder is mixed to the row material powder, and the preparation of the granular granulated material from this mixture is preferable. |
