PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rare-earth based bonded magnet having superior magnetic characteristics and superior required characteristics, such as corrosion resistance. SOLUTION: The rare-earth based bonded magnet has a magnet compact containing rare-earth alloy powder and a binder and has a resin coating provided on the surface of the magnet compact. The rare-earth alloy powder has a composition represented by the composition formula (Fe1-m Tm )100-x-y-z Qx Ry Mz (where T represents one or more kinds of elements selected from among groups comprising CO and Ni, and Q represents one or more kinds of elements selected from groups comprising B and C which necessarily includes B; further, R represents one or more kinds of rare-earth elements which substantially do not include La and Ce; and moreover, M represents metallic elements selected from among groups comprising Ti, Zr, and Hf.). |
