PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connecting construction between a manhole 1 and a sewer main pipe 2 which is able to greatly displace a sewer main pipe 2 relative to the manhole 1 and also able to provide a watertight elastic connection between the sewer main pipe 2 from the inner side of the manhole 1 and a connecting hole made in the manhole 1. SOLUTION: An inserting portion 21 of the sewer main pipe 2 is loosely fitted to an attaching hole 12 provided in a side wall 11 of the manhole 1 and this is a connecting construction between the manhole 1 and the sewer main pipe 2 for making a watertight connection for a ring-shaped gap 20, and has a joint pipe 3 having a diameter smaller than an attaching hole and larger than the sewer main pipe 2, and one end is hardly adhered watertight to one end of the joint pipe 3 with an inner diameter externally fitted to an inserting portion 21, an assembly body 30 with a boot 4 forming a cylindrical gap 10 to the inner periphery of the joint pipe 3 is inserted from the inside of the manhole 1 to the ring-shaped gap 20, other end of the boot 4 and the other end 22 of the inserting portion 21 are hardly adhered watertight, and mortar 5 is filled in the ring-shaped gap 20 between the attaching hole 12 and the joint pipe 3.
