The invention relates to a wind-energy farm (1). To construct known devices of this type, a plurality of individual components must be combined, thus making the entire construction expensive and complex. The inventive wind-energy farm (1) overcomes this disadvantage as it can be simply constructed from one or more modular units (2, 10, 20, 30 and 40). Each modular unit (2, 10, 20, 30 and 40) has at least one wind-energy turbine (3) that operates at variable speeds, the drive shaft (4) of said turbine being mechanically connected to an electric generator (5).
