METHOD OF DRIVING CCD COLOR IMAGE SENSOR AND APPARATUS FOR INPUTTING COLOR IMAGE

It is intended to provide a method of driving a CCD color image sensor whereby an electron shutter function showing signal charge accumulation times differing from color to color can be achieved by using a simple constitution. Unnecessary charges occurring in photoelectric conversion elements of individual colors are transferred by a shift resister within times of accumulating signal charges in photoelectric conversion elements of at least colors R, G and B t2<t<t5. Then signal charges accumulated in the photoelectric conversion elements of individual colors within times differing from color to color R:t4<t<t5, G: t3<t<t5, B:T2<t<t5 are transferred within times for accumulating the unnecessary charges in the photoelectric conversion elements of individual colors t0<t<t1.
