FIELD: lathe cutters for turning railway road wheel profiles. SUBSTANCE: main and additional cutting edges of tip are joined along radius. At side of chip twisting groove of cutting tip opposite relative to cutting edge there are protrusions of special geometry. Said groove has radius fillet of respective shape and size. In end cross section normal relative to main cutting edge protrusions are restricted by supporting surface and from downwards they are joined by rounding radius until center of chip twisting groove. EFFECT: effective chip breaking during turning different portions of profiled surface of railway road wheel due to deforming chip in chip twisting groove. 3 cl, 7 dwg |
