PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a feed which has a reducing effect on the infection with injurious bacteria such as salmonella and is used for livestock and fowls. SOLUTION: The coconut oil extraction residues are characterized by containing Bacillus subtilis. The content of the Bacillus subtilis is preferably 10<2> to 10<9> bacteria/g. The coconut oil extraction residues preferably further contain mannose. The feed for livestock and fowls is characterized by formulating the coconut oil extraction residues preferably in an amount of 0.001 to 2 wt.%.
