FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves making amputation at the level of transverse tarsal articulation or at the talus cervix level, spanning plantar cutanofascial flap and suturing it to the upper edge of the wound. Achilles tendon is cut in addition 2-3 cm proximal with respect to place of its attachment to calcaneus. Talocalcaneal unit is turned to utmost dorsiflex position, placing the calcaneal tuber along the extremity loading axis. The talus, calcaneus and tibia are fixed with wires conducted through the calcaneal tuber, talus and tibia in parallel to the tibial axis.
