An invention relates to the equipment for burning of solid fuel, as well as finely divided friable fuel (saw dust, peat) and it can also be used for incineration of combustible lump waste. The rotary furnace offered for burning of solid fuel and/or solid waste comprises: the loading hoppers of raw material provided with batch measuring box and transporting mechanism, e.g., screw conveyor; conduit system for supply of primary and secondary combustion air; off-take system of final combustion products (flue gas, ash and solid slag); control system of technological parameters (temperature, pressure); control system of combustion temperature, if necessary, using auxiliary, e.g., gas burners. The offered rotary furnace is characterised in that housing of combustion chamber is formed at least of two aligned rotary plates rotating with different speeds, e.g., conic plates, besides the centrifugal accelerations thereof being greater than free fall acceleration within effective working zone of combustion chamber. One embodiment of invention is shown in fig.2 where the following designations are used: 1- loading hopper of input; 2 - batch measuring box, 3 - worm-type conveyor for transportation of raw material, 4 - tubular housing of worm-type conveyor; 5 - after-combustion chamber of solid products provided with ash output chamber and grate; 6 - combustion chamber, 6' and 6" - rotary conic plates forming the housing of combustion chamber 6; 7 - body of flue gas outlet; 8 - supporting and driving mechanisms of plates 6' and 6"; 9 - electric motor for drive of worm 3 and plates 6' and 6"; 10 - system for feed of secondary combustion air; 11 - inspection hatch of combustion process; 12 - receptacle of ash; 13 - flue; 14 - reversible exhaust fan; 15 - support rollers defining the width of slot between plates 6' and 6"; 16 - after-combustion chamber of partially gasified products of fuel; 17 - openable door for cleaning of chamber 5 and repair of grate.
