DEVICE FOR RECOGNIZING OBJECT INSIDE ELEVATOR CAR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for recognizing an object inside an elevator car capable of efficiently and safely operating an automatic traveling carrier and the elevator car together by detecting existence of a human being or an object inside the elevator car and stably and accurately measuring position of the automatic traveling carrier to guide it in the elevator car with one monitor camera. SOLUTION: This device for recognizing an object inside the elevator car is provided with a specified wavelength light emitting device 109 mounted on the automatic traveling carrier 101, a specified wavelength light transmitting filter 110 for transmitting the light having a wavelength near an wavelength range of the specified wavelength light emitting device 109 and a whole transmitting filter 112 for transmitting the light in the whole wavelength range and respectively provided in an image pickup range of the monitor camera. A filter control device for selecting the operation of each filter is connected to each filter to cover the image pickup range of the monitor camera with the specified wavelength transmitting filter 110 when an elevator door 106 is opened and to cover with the whole transmitting filter when the elevator door 106 is closed.
