<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet feeder allowing accurate separation of sheets one by one without receiving the influences of the thickness or hardness of sheets or curls at the ends of the sheets. SOLUTION: A plurality of separating plates (sloping members) 19 are provided at the end of sheet storage means 10 on its downstream side in the direction of delivering the sheets. Each of the separating plates 19 has a slope in contact with the sheets P to be delivered by sheet feeding means 15 for separating them one by one. The surface roughness of a separating plate 19a opposed to a feed roller 15, out of the separating plates 19, is greater than the surface roughness of other separating plates 19. Other separating plates 19b are provided on both sides of the separating plate 19a.</p> |
