<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a molded article that effectively uses fly ash which is massively produced from thermal power stations or the like and whose new use development is desired, has an excellent strength, is light in comparison with cement products, and uses as a main raw material the fly ash capable of being easily massively produced at a low cost and capable of being recycled, and to provide a method for producing the molded article. SOLUTION: This molded article containing the fly ash as a main raw material is characterized by molding in a desired shape a kneaded molding material comprising the fly ash, an unsaturated polyester resin, and a small amount of a silane-based coupling agent. And the method for producing the molded article containing the fly ash as a main raw material is characterized by preliminarily mixing the fly ash as the main component with a proper amount of a silane-based coupling agent, kneading the obtained preliminary mixture with the unsaturated polyester resin as a binder, and then molding the kneaded molding material in a desired shape.</p> |
