PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera having a structure where a rail groove for guiding a lens barrier is made inconspicuous. SOLUTION: The lens barrier 7 is attached to the front cover 5 of the camera. The lens barrier 7 moves to slide within a recessed part 25 made more recessed than the periphery on the cover 5. The rail groove 30 is formed in a direction H orthogonal to an optical axis in the recessed part 25. The lens barrier 7 is constituted of a lens protection part 20, projecting pieces 21 and 22, a positioning piece 23 and a boss 24. The lens barrier 7 is attached to hold the cover 5 by screwing a coupling member 35 in the boss 24 of the lens barrier 7 through the rail groove 30. The boss 24 is formed near the center in an up- and-down direction, and the rail groove 30 is arranged near the center of the recessed part 25 corresponding thereto.
