PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glass substrate carrying box in which at least a body thereof is formed of a resin foam, and the dust-proof property can be reliably obtained by devising a structure of a fitting part of the body and a lid body without using any sealant separately, or without using any clip to tighten the body and the lid body. SOLUTION: At least the body (2) of the box (1) comprising the body (2) and the lid body (3) is formed of the resin foam of the expansion ratio of 3-30. The body (2) and the lid body (3) of the box (1) are fitted to each other between an upper edge side part (2a) of the body (2) and a lower edge side part (3a) of the lid body (3), and (a) a projecting bar (x) is formed or (b) the projecting bar (x) and a recessed groove (y) are engaged with each other as a means for reducing the clearance between the parts (2a) and (3a) on at least one of the upper edge side part (2a) of the body (2) and the lower edge side part (3a) of the lid body (3) at the fitted part.
