PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fishing reel which can prevent penetration of water into the body of the reel and simply drains water in the body of the reel without increasing number of parts and without spoiling an appearance of the reel. SOLUTION: The main body 1a of the fishing reel 1 comprises a housing unit 60 which forms a space S for housing a drive mechanism, a lid material 62 for closing the space S of the housing unit with the outside and a plurality of fixing materials 64. A draining unit 65A perpendicular to the fixing direction of the fixing materials 64 and communicating with the space S of the housing unit 60 is formed on the supporting unit 63 of the main body 1a of the reel for receiving the fixing materials 64.
