PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent dust generation, volume increase of waste and worsening of a working environment when scrapping treatment of an optical disk. SOLUTION: In a method for scrapping treatment of the optical disk, information starting positions E1, E2 of the optical disks D1, D2 are plastically deformed to an extent where information cannot be read-out.
