PURPOSE: A high output power horizontal deflector is provided to design a horizontal deflector of an HDTV or large-size cathode ray tube display using insulated gate bipolar transistors to obtain a large quantity of high deflection current. CONSTITUTION: A high output power horizontal deflector includes an IGBT operation controller(10) and an IGBT driver(20). The IGBT operation controller receives an oscillation signal and amplifies the oscillation signal. The IGBT driver receives the output signal of the IGBT operation controller and outputs a signal of a large quantity of high current to a horizontal deflection output terminal according to the state of the received signal. The IGBT operation controller is composed of an amplifier and a phase inverter. The amplifier receives an oscillation signal through an input port and amplifies the signal. The phase inverter accepts the signal through output ports of the amplifier and inverts the phase of a signal inputted through one of the output ports of the amplifier to output the signal whose phase has been inverted through another output port of the amplifier.
