摘要 PURPOSE: A conjugate fiber prepared by the conjugate spinning of a fiber-forming polymer having different heat shrinkability in a side-by-side shape is provided, which avoids the troubles of dye unevenness by a difference between dyeability of both components and unevenness of heat and phase separation on the interface by low compatibility and has excellent crimp characteristics and spinnability. CONSTITUTION: A high shrinkage polyester(1) as a first component and a general polyester(2) as a second component are spun at a speed of 3,500m/min or less in a side-by-side shape. Thus, obtained conjugate fiber satisfies the following conditions: 1) 0.1<=η1-η2<=0.25; 2) 0.3<=CS(g/denier); 3) CR(%)>=30; 4) 8<=NC(crest/cm) in which η1 is an intrinsic viscosity(dl/g) of a first component, η2 is an intrinsic viscosity(dl/g) of a second component, CS is a thermal shrinkage stress(g/denier), CR is a shrinkage rate(%) and NC is an expressed crimp number.
