COMPOSITION FOR TREATING BURNS

PURPOSE: A composition for treating burns comprising a Ca component as a main component, inorganic matter such as SiO2, Fe, Mn, Cu, etc. and organic matter is provided which permits treatment of burns such as second and third degree burns to human skin within 15 to 30 days. CONSTITUTION: The composition for treating burns comprises: a Ca component as a main component, 0.39 to 0.49% by weight of SiO2, 0.001 to 0.007% by weight of Fe, 0.001 to 0.063% by weight of Mn, 0.001 to 0.005% by weight of Cu, 0.001 to 0.009% by weight of Mo, 0.01 to 0.076% by weight of Sn, 0.002 to 0.005% by weight of Sb, 0.003 to 0.009% by weight of Ge, 0.5 to 1.5% by weight of K and 0.34 to 0.98% by weight of organic matter, based on the weight of the Ca component. The Ca component is obtained by heating the crustacean's shell at 1,000 to 1,450deg.C and then grinding.
