PURPOSE: A chatting method based on the e-mail transmission is provided to realize the chatting between a user and a counterpart connected through a link part of an e-mail by making the user register an e-mail address of the desired counterpart and transmitting the e-mail for participating in the chatting to the counterpart. CONSTITUTION: The user connects to a chatting server(S100). The certification for the log-in of the user is executed(S120). The user inputs the counterpart information including the e-mail address(S130). The chatting participation e-mail including the ID information of the user and the link part is generated and transmitted to the e-mail address of the counterpart(S150). The counterpart confirms the e-mail and connects to the chatting server by selecting the link part(S170). The chatting server receives the ID of the user included to the link part(S180). The chatting server checks the log-in of the user(S190). If the user logs in to the chatting server, a temporary ID is issued to the counterpart(S200). The chatting between the user and the counterpart is started(S210).
