Beer contained in bottle under high pressure

Beer that contains carbon dioxide and is contained in a bottle under a pressure of more than 0.4 MPa at 10 deg C is new. An Independent claim is also included for a process for producing the beer, comprising mixing brewed beer with an optionally sugar-containing yeast suspension to provide a sugar content of 1.5-8 g/l in the beer; bottling the beer with clarifying agents in bottles capable of withstanding a pressure of more than 0.4 MPa at 10 deg C; sealing the bottles with a thimble and cork; allowing the beer to undergo secondary fermentation in the bottle; inverting the bottles with a left/right rotary motion so that the yeast flows into the thimble; freezing the yeast in the thimble to form an icicle; placing the bottles at a slant with the neck above the base; removing the icicles; closing the bottles with champagne corks; and preferably storing the bottles in a horizontal position.
