PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multi-disk drive of which the low power consumption has been achieved. SOLUTION: The multi-disk drive capable of reproducing a CD-ROM and CD-R/RW disks and recording on CD-R/RW disks comprises a circuit dedicated to reproduction 3, a circuit dedicated to recording 4, and a common circuit 2, and has switches 5, 6 in the circuits of each power supply line for switching off a power supply line not in use according to the operations.
