<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication network capable of quickly switching a present LSP to a backup LSP when any route failure is generated in the present LSP. SOLUTION: In this communication network including a plurality of transmitting switching nodes, each switching node is provided with a present path setting means for setting a present path with an incoming node when its own switching node is the calling node, a backup path setting means, when its own switching node is the calling node of a present path, for setting a backup path whose adjacent switching node is different from that of the present path for a prescribed present path with the incoming node, a failure detecting means for detecting the route failure of the present path to the adjacent switching node, and a forwarding control means, when a received cell packet passes the incoming node of the present path, and its own switching node is the calling node of the present path, and the route failure of the present path to the adjacent switching node is detected, for transmitting the cell packet by using the backup path for the present path.</p> |
