PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problems that the setting of each device 2 becomes a large burden in constructing a homenetwork and also that a failure occurs by erroneous setting because the device 2 can not be distinguished from a device 2 provided in an adjacent house in the case of automatically setting the device 2. SOLUTION: An insertion detecting means 14 for detecting the connection of the device 2 to a receptacle 1, a memory 12 for storing a house code and a power line superimposition communicating means 11 for superimposing the house code on a power line 4 are provided, and when the device 2 is connected to the receptacle 1, the house code is automatically set in the device 2.
