PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packet switch capable of performing optimal packet transfer and high speed switching according to service traffic to be used by a user. SOLUTION: This packet switch 10 is provided with a service traffic judgment control part 1 for judging the classification of the traffic class of received service traffic and a service traffic transferring part 2 having transfer/switch fabrics 3, 4, and 5 for each traffic class of the service traffic. The classification of the traffic class of the received service traffic is judged by a service traffic judgment control part 1, and transferred from the service traffic transferring part 2 through transfer/switch fabrics 3, 4, and 5 corresponding to the judged classification of the traffic class.
