The automobile electrical supply system contains two batteries, a distribution circuit connecting them to direct current loads and a generator. Each battery (1,2) can be connected to the distribution circuit by semiconductor switches (4,5,6,7) and uni-directional and controlled semiconductor DC-DC transformer (3). . The switches (4,5,6,7) or transformer (3) are controlled by a unit (12) which receives, use and is controlled by signals from temperature, pressure current and voltage sensors.
