The heating block (1) can be placed on the hot plate of a water bath. The block has a locating surface (16) on its lower side for placing on the hot plate. The upper side has a heat surface (11) on which a water container can be placed. A receptacle (2,3,4) is formed in a side surface (15) and extends into the block. The receptacle receives ready to use batches of the material to be warmed.
