PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent useless issue of label. SOLUTION: An effective print range (e.g. 636 dots long and 3060 dots wide) is specified and a corresponding writing area is set. Subsequently, the size (e.g. 600 dots long and 1020 dots wide) and the gap (e.g. 0) of a small label are set and a large number of small labels are shaped in the writing area. The small label is set with a field and each field is set with print data. Thereafter, bit map image data corresponding to print data is developed in the writing area and printing and cutting are executed in units of row. In case of reissuing a specified small label, printing is performed in units of row.
