PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an OFDM transmitter and an OFDM receiver capable of ensuring sufficient linearity in performance even if the components with poor linearity are employed. SOLUTION: A OFDM transmitter is provided with a serial/parallel converting part 1, an inverse fast Fourier transform (IFFT) 2, a guard interval addition part 3, a nonlinear correction part 4, a low pass filter (LPF) 5, a D/A converter (DAC) 6, an orthogonal modulation 7, a local oscillator 8, an intermediate frequency amplifier (IF) 9, and a high frequency amplifier (RF) 10. The nonlinear correction part performs correction by using correction functions before processing in IFFT 2 so that a nonlinear characteristic of input/output signal resulting from a nonlinear distortion which are caused in each part of the OFDM transmission approaches a linear characteristic. Thereby even if the components with poor linearity are used, the linear operation is ensured as the entire OFDM transmitter.
