<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that a photovoltaic transducer device using crystalline semiconductor granules has low reliability. SOLUTION: In a photovoltaic transducer device, many crystalline silicon granules of one conductivity are disposed on a substrate provided with one of electrode layers. An insulating material is interposed between these crystalline semiconductor granules, and a semiconductor layer of a second conductivity is formed on the crystalline semiconductor granules. The substrate includes one or a plurality of layers formed of ceramic capable of suppressing the amount of warp of the substrate and preventing the development of cracks of the crystalline semiconductor granules and the insulating layer caused by a temperature cycle, while maintaining enough strength for the substrate.</p> |
