This keeps the thermoplastic material in a fluid state as far as the nozzle orifice (19), and below the temperature required for that state at a point in the nozzle immediately adjacent to the mould cavity, which is achieved by cooling that part of the nozzle. The first temperature is determined as the optimum one for the passage of the thermoplastic material through the distribution and transit channels (11, 12) of the distributor. The second temperature is determined as the optimum one for the surface of the mould cavity, with a seal between the nozzle assemblies (50, 51) at the different temperatures created by an accumulation of the thermoplastic material at a third, intermediate temperature.
