PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a software wireless device that can securely update programs without stopping all communication functions. SOLUTION: The software wireless device 100 that switches programs to realize data communication adopting a plurality of wireless communication systems, includes; a first processing section 220 having a 1st arithmetic unit and uses a program to apply processing to prescribed communication control; a second processing section 230 having a 2nd arithmetic unit; and an update data acquisition section 210 that acquires information with respect to program update or addition. When the update data acquisition section 210 outputs the acquired information with respect to the program update or addition to the first processing section 220, the second processing section 230 on behalf of the first processing section 220 uses the second arithmetic unit to conduct processing with respect to communication control and the first processing section 220 uses the information with respect to the update or addition acquired by the update data acquisition section 210 to update or add the program.
