PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the collation accuracy in a fingerprint collation by correcting an extracted feature value even in the input of a fingerprint image with indistinct contrast. SOLUTION: To determine the dispersion of feature value, the variance of LPC cepstrum obtained in feature extracting processing, is calculated (S70) and a compensation coefficient Wn obtained by determining the inverse of the variance value is calculated (S71). To surely enhance the collation rate, a filter for suppressing excessive components of a high-order part is calculated (S72), the filter is multiplied by the compensation coefficient to determine a weight coefficient (S73), and the feature value is corrected by use of the weight coefficient (S74). The fingerprint collation is performed on the basis of the corrected feature value. |
