PURPOSE: Shrinking distortion to the vertical direction of extended film is prevented to improve reliability and productivity, thereby obtaining economic gain. CONSTITUTION: A film extending machine comprises a fixed roll(61), a moving roll(62), and a variable position adjusting member(65). A film of a thin sheet shape is passed through the fixed roll. The rotational center of the fixed roll is fixed. A moving roll is installed with a minute gap adjacent to the fixed roll. The film passes between the fixed roll and the moving roll by the rotation of the moving roll. The variable position adjusting member changes the position of the moving roll.
