<p>The present invention refers to methods for the manufacture of gas diffusion electrodes to be used for water electrolysis and ozone production and other electrochemical devices. A portion of protons of an ion-exchange polymer (2) is substituted in the channels (3) of a channel-cluster structure of an ion-exchange polymer (2) with cations of metal catalyst (4). This substitution is performed via the ion exchange process. Then said cations are electrochemically reduced in the form of metal particles of a catalyst (4) on those areas of substrate (1) where the latter is in contact with the channels (3) of the channel-cluster structure of the ion-exchange polymer layer (2).</p> |
