A method for control of the movement path of pneumatic drives from a first to a second position, where compressed air supply and evacuation is controlled using valve arrangements (8, 9) that each have a combination of two interacting path valves (16, 17; 21, 22). Switching of the path valves caused choked or un-choked flow of compressed air in the supply and evacuation lines for the compressed air. Thus for braking piston movement compressed air is forced into the reducing volume (6) formed by piston (3) movement. The invention also relates to a corresponding pneumatic drive controller.
