METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR MEASURING AMOUNT OF REMNANT FUEL USING FUEL GAUGE OUTPUT SIGNAL

PURPOSE: A method and a system for measuring the amount of remaining fuel are provided to achieve improved accuracy of measurement by using the fuel gauge output signal changing in accordance with passage of time. CONSTITUTION: A method comprises a frequency calculating step(S200) of calculating frequencies for each output signal range of a fuel gauge; and a remnant fuel amount calculating step(S250) of calculating the remnant fuel amount based on the frequencies calculated in the frequency calculating step. The remnant fuel amount calculating step includes a maximum frequency range calculating sub-step(S255) of setting the signal range of the maximum frequency as a first signal; a second maximum frequency range calculating sub-step(S260) of setting the signal range of the second maximum frequency as a second signal; and an intermediate value calculating sub-step(S265) of calculating the remnant fuel amount in the range of the first remnant fuel amount corresponding to the first signal and the second remnant fuel amount corresponding to the second signal.
