<p>A system and method to transmit information to or from a subsea well, comprising: deploying an ROV towards the subsea well, optically connecting a first optical fiber that is carried by the ROV with a second optical fiber that is located along a section of the subsea well, and transmitting information along the optical fibers to or from a remote location. The information may comprise a temperature profile along the section, data from sensors functionally connected to the second optical fiber, or a command. Additionally, light back scattered from the second optical fibre may be analyzed to determine the temperature profile along it.</p> |
