PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the outdoor unit of an air conditioner capable of feeding a sufficient cooling air flow to a heat sink, cooling an electric part generating a comparatively large amount of heat, and improving the efficiency of cooling an electric part mounted on an electrical equipment substrate. SOLUTION: The outdoor unit of the air conditioner comprises an electrical equipment substrate 6 contained approximately in a horizontal direction, in such a manner as to form gaps 11 and 11 for ventilation on both sides in a machine room 7; a heat sink 12 arranged approximately orthogonally to the electrical equipment substrate 6; and a heat sink cover 13 to cover the heat sink 12, such that air flows from a position above the heat sink 12 to a position therebelow. |
