Process for detecting the relative motion between a scene from which a radiation is released and a pixel matrix capting this radiation

The image processing relative movement detection system has a pixel matrix observing the scene with a set of vector information contrast produced. The evolution of the vector contrast is surveyed during a first time interval (tm+1). The pixels with vector information above the nearby pixels is determined. During a second time interval (tm+2), the vector information which was maximal during the first time interval, but which is not reduced is found. The output signals representing relative movement following detection of reduced signals in the second stage is found.
