PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an insert material for spot welding which can easily be manufactured with higher productivity and a jointing method using it. SOLUTION: In the insert material 1, an alminum plating layer 2a is formed on one surface of a steel lumber 2 and an alminum material 3 is brazed with this surface. Such an insert material 1 can be manufactured by, for example, brazing the alminum material 3 with the surface of the steel lumber 2 on which the alminum plating layer 2a is formed, in generally-used conditions. Therefore manufacture of it is very easy to have extremely higher productivity than an explosive cladding, etc. It also can easily be controlled since the board thickness of both the steel lumber 2 and the alminum material 3 after being brazed is as it is before being brazed, enabling formation of a stabilized nugget in resistance welding. |
