PURPOSE:To predict and restore the picture of high quality, by making half the pitch of transversal video elements for the video information and outputting while keeping as it is for the pitch of longitudinal direction. CONSTITUTION:The picture is read in by separating it in parallel direction to two coordinate axes almost orthogonal each other, and taking the pitches of video element as Px, Py, and the pitches of the video element to be reproduced as qx, qy, the relation of Px>qx, py>=qy, or px>=qx, py>qy is stabilished. The output video element corresponding to the video element not read in is predicted and restored from the information of the video elements around it. |
