PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering column support device for supporting a steering column with a simple means without hindering the primary tilting action. SOLUTION: This support device is provided with an elastic support 13 for supporting a steering shaft 12 and an outside bracket 15 to be directly brought in contact with the steering column 11 at a lower end of the steering column 11 to support it. The elastic support 13 has a recessed groove 17 extended over the whole circumference in the outer surface thereof, and the outside bracket 15 has a projecting part 16 extended over the whole circumference in the inner surface thereof. When assembling, the projecting part 16 is fitted in the recessed groove 17, and the steering column 11 is pinched between the elastic support 13 and the outside bracket 15. |
