PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress heat transfer from a torque converter to a motor- generator to the minimum extent when arranging the motor-generator and the torque converter between an engine and a transmission. SOLUTION: A power transmission device for a hybrid vehicle is provided with the motor-generator MG arranged in series between a crank shaft 11 of the engine E and a main shaft 12 of the transmission T and the torque converter TC. A side plate 35 of the torque converter TC and a rotor disk 17 of the motor-generator MG are mutually connected by a drive plate 39 having the heat shutting-off property and the heat radiation property to suppress the transfer of radiation heat and transfer heat from the side plate 35 to the motor- generator MG to the minimum extent and suppress the rise of temperature of the motor-generator MG.
