PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the wasteful consumption of power in the large-scaled compressed air supply facility to contribute to energy saving. SOLUTION: This compressed air supply facility 10 is composed of a main compressor 13, a main tank 11 connected to the main compressor 13 by means of a pipe 12, a plurality of air supply pipes 18 connected to the main tank 11 and having air taking-out branches 22 on the way, a sub-tank 20 connected to terminal ends of the air supply pipes through a common pipe 19, a sub- compressor 21 connected to the sub-tank 20, and a controller 26 for independently or simultaneously operating the main compressor 14 and the sub-compressor 21.
