PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a balloon for a catheter and a method of advantageously manufacturing it so as to advantageously accomplish both superior dilatability and crossability when inserted through a stenosed site and the like of various tubular organs of a human body. SOLUTION: The balloon for a catheter is composed of a polymer material having regions capable of crystallization and is structured such that the degree of crystallization in the outer surface is higher than that in the inner surface by more than 10% and that the orientation degree gradually increases from the inner surface toward the outer surface.
