PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for efficiently treating sand-containing deposited sludge deposited in the bottom part of a water tank in wastewater treatment facilities. SOLUTION: In the treatment method of sand-containing deposited sludge in the bottom part of a water tank of water treatment facilities or sludge treatment facilities, the deposited sludge is discharged by a cleaning liquid and the resulting cleaning liquid is mixed with fibers and separated into a sand- containing deposited sludge and fiber-containing separated matter by a screen. Alternatively, after the deposited sludge is cleaned by a cleaning liquid, water and fibers are added to sand still deposited in the water tank so as to suppress the sand concentration to 200 g/l or lower and then the cleaning liquid containing sand is transported out the bottom part of the water tank and after that, separated matter containing sand and fibers is separated by a screen. The foregoing separated matter separated by the screen can be dewatered by a screw press and the foregoing fibers to be added can be added while being wrapped with a water-soluble plastic film.
