PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording and reproducing apparatus which can record music composition data or the like appropriately while considering the influence of communication caused by communication equipment. SOLUTION: The recording and reproduction apparatus transmits TOC information acquired from a reproduction CD to a portable telephone system (S12). The portable telephone transmits the received TOC information or the like to a title information providing server (S33). When recording is started, the recording and reproducing apparatus transmits communication suppression information to the portable telephone system (S14). When the communication suppression information is received, the portable telephone system stops the communication function (S34). The recording and reproducing apparatus records the music composition data during this stop (S15). When recording is completed, the recording and reproducing apparatus transmits suppression release information to the portable telephone system (S17). When the suppression release information is received, the portable telephone system recovers the communication function (S36) and receives title information and a jacket picture from the title information providing server (S37). |
