PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten a processing time for compositing images by narrowing the search range of a pattern matching which is required for image composite in an image reader. SOLUTION: The search range of the pattern matching is limited based on the most frequent value of a deviation amount at a stop position which corresponds to the average value of the stop position of a photographing means in past N times (S3 or S6). Thus the search range of the pattern matching is deviated in response to the deviation of an inter-image corresponding point which is caused by change with time and environmental change in a moving means. Then the search range of the pattern matching is repeatedly limited to the narrow range in consideration only dispersions. |
