PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a casting apparatus with which a manufacturing cost of a forming mold is effectively reduced by utilizing a reduction-casting method, and the casting using this forming mold excellent in a maintainability and recycle property, can be applied. SOLUTION: In the casting apparatus 10 for reduction-casting in which molten metal is poured into a cavity 12b in the forming mold 12 and the reduction- casting is performed while reducing oxidized film formed on the surface of the molten metal by bringing the molten metal in the cavity 12b into contact with a reducible compound is reduced, the forming mold 12 is manufactured from the same material as the molten metal used to the casting.
